Music Lessons for Children

Research shows that music lessons can benefit children in multiple ways such as better test scores, improved language development, and overall brain development (source). We believe that the younger you can get children started with music, the better. At MVP Studios, our friendly teacher will make learning music fun for our youngest learners.

Wendy recommends starting piano students at age six, which is the age at which the average child's brain and body are able to coordinate. Voice students may be accepted as early as age five, depending on the child's interest.

“Two of my teens took voice lessons from Wendy and they both learned so much! Wendy is kind and really cares about her students and what they are involved in. She is also a great teacher and taught them new things they didn’t know before. She listens to what types of music they are interested in and she helps pull that into the lessons as well. We just absolutely loved our lessons with her!”

About Wendy EricksonPiano and Voice Instructor
I have been a private piano, solo, and group voice performance teacher for 26 years.  I have also taught elementary music for the last 10 years. I enjoy working with children and youth and helping them find their potential.  I hope to instill in them a love and enthusiasm for music and the confidence to express themselves through the performing arts.
My students have enjoyed exceptional growth as they performed in recitals, community events, plays, and television shows under my tutelage over the years. Many have gone on to perform in community and university choirs and plays, and some have had great success as solo performers.

I am presently accepting new students for Provo Utah in person or virtual.
